J. Peter Borbas, PLS. Peter is nationally regarded as an expert in his field. He has served as the chair of the GIS/LIS Committee of the New Jersey Society of Professional Land surveyors for more than a dozen years; he is the immediate past president of the Geographic and Land Information Society. Peter has served for many years on the surveying advisory boards at Paul Smiths College, NY (where he graduated in 1978) and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Peter served as the 2009 and 2012 Chair of the American Congress on Mapping and as a public member for four years for the New Jersey Supreme Court Office of Attorney Ethics. His peers recognized him the New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyor of the Year 2003 for his leadership efforts.
